GimmeeMyWorkout ("we", "us", "our") operates the GimmeeMyWorkout mobile application (the "App"), which allows users to create custom Exercise Programs, Workouts, and Exercises for personal fitness tracking and planning.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly ("User-Provided Data")
- Account information (if you create an account): email address, username, password (hashed).
- Personal details you optionally enter: age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, or other profile data to customize workout suggestions.
- Workout content you create: names of Exercise Programs, Workouts, Exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes, completion status, and progress logs.
- Any feedback, support messages, or other communications you send us.
B. Automatically Collected Information ("Usage and Device Data")
- Device information: device type, model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile network information.
- App usage data: features used, session duration, screens viewed, interactions with workouts (e.g., start/stop times), crash reports, performance metrics.
- If you enable integrations (e.g., Google Fit, Health Connect): activity data like steps, heart rate, or calories burned (only with your explicit permission).
We do not collect precise geolocation, camera/photos, microphone, contacts, SMS, or other sensitive permissions unless explicitly needed and disclosed.
C. Health and Fitness Data
If you input or track health-related information (e.g., weight, body measurements, perceived exertion, or data synced from device sensors/integrations), we treat this as sensitive. We only use it to provide and improve your workout experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App (e.g., save your programs, generate progress views, fix bugs).
- Personalize your experience (e.g., suggest workouts based on your goals/logs).
- Communicate with you (e.g., respond to support requests, send optional app updates/notifications if you opt in).
- Analyze usage trends to enhance features (aggregated/anonymized only).
- Comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
3. Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share data only in these limited cases:
- With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting like Azure/Firebase for data storage, crash reporting tools) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- If required by law, court order, or government request.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your data would transfer under similar protections).
- Anonymized/aggregated data for analytics or research (no personal identifiers).
If you connect third-party services (e.g., Google Fit), data sharing follows their policies and your consent.

- Workout data is primarily stored locally on your device.
- If you use cloud sync/account features, data is stored on secure servers (encrypted in transit and at rest).
- We implement reasonable security measures (e.g., encryption, access controls), but no system is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.
Data retention: We keep your data as long as your account is active or needed to provide services. You can request deletion (see below). Logs/crash data may be kept longer for debugging (anonymized).
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location (including New Zealand Privacy Act rights), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Opt out of certain processing.
- Withdraw consent (where consent is the basis).

You can also:
- Clear app data via device settings (deletes local data).
- Uninstall the App (removes local data).
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
7. International Transfers
As a New Zealand-based developer, your data may be processed in New Zealand or other countries (e.g., via cloud providers in the US/EU). We ensure appropriate safeguards for transfers.

GimmeeMyWorkout is for informational and planning purposes only. It is not medical advice, a substitute for professional medical/fitness guidance, or a medical device. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program, especially if you have health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant. We are not liable for any injury, illness, or harm resulting from use of the App. Use at your own risk.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may notify you in-app or via email.
